I too am a big fan of the wiki. It's a great resource for all types of information....even/especially pop culture stuff. I love looking up comic book related things is it. I have leanred so much more about some past comic book characters by reading through the wiki.
It's great too because it's updated in real time, unlike standard encyclopedias which are out of date as soon as they are printed.
I know putting up incorrect information is not allowed, but I am still a little weary of some facts I have read there. In fact I read something about my hometown that I thought seems a little fishy, but who knows, I could be wrong (that's happened plenty of times before).
But In general, I love the wiki, and an definitely a fan of telling people "Just wiki it" when they wan tto know more about something :-)

Well, I like it to a point. Now don't get me wrong I love it when I know that it is accurate, but there are so many people who say they are proffessors and such and then post bogus information on it. It kinda saddens me, becuase it would be a very, very good way to gett information. I love peered reviewed information, but in order to get such info one must pay a pretty penny. When I was taking online courses for college, I had access to so many sites of PEER reviewed info. Gosh I loved that.

People are suppose to put bad information on that site. It is illegal to do so. Most all information has to be backed-up on that site.

I've been happily using wiki for a couple of years now but it wasn't until I started working for a software development company last year that I fully appreciated just how trustworthy it is. My colleagues (all IT experts) swear by the reliability of wiki and say someone asks a colleague to clarify the definition of something, most people just shout "wikipedia it man!" If a bunch of IT whizzkids are happy to trust the reliability of the information you can access in wiki when they have a resource library of literally 100s of textbooks, I know I can trust the site to answer most of my questions. In fact, to date, I've never tried to find something on wiki which it didn't return the correct information to me :)

I quite like wikipedia to be honest. And in fact, I used it pretty much myself. I have found it to be a pretty good source of information. ;-)

Wikipedia is a very nice project.
You can also improve it by adding or modifying pages...Something like a work in progress...
Usually I use it as the first place to find informations, but it's not my only resource.
Have a nice day!

Yeah that site is quite informative. Its like a huge online dictionary where you not only find the meaning but you also find the whole history, biography related to your search. Definitely that site comes in very handy when you are looking to find some information. I appreciate that site's informative content.
