i don't think thats true. It's just an individual parent maybe exhibiting favoritism and that's the excuse they use.

I have four boys and i love them so much. Yet, I don't have a daughter (and i don't have plans to have another child anymore) so i can never tell the difference. What i know is that my mother loves our brother more than any one of us because he is a down's syndrome case. And we sincerely understand.

really? i often hear people say that a daughter is closer to the dad than to the mom and a son to the mom than to the dad.
since i only have a daughter, i cannot attest to the veracity of that claim. she is sweet and shows equal affection to my husband and i. and i love her more than my life.
could a mother really love her son more than her daughter? i don't think so.

i always wonder about this question and here is my theory.
The mother is closer to her son because the son reminds her of her husband. And the father is closer to the daugther because she reminds him of his wife.
My wife wanted a baby boy when she got pregnant with our first baby. And we did had a baby boy. I'll find out if the above statement is true when we have a baby girl.

I have a little boy and a little girl, and I do not love either of them more. My love for each one is different, but equal. My mother and father (was step, but he adopted me) love my sister, brother, and I equally, even though my sister and I were from my mother's first marriage. Although I am sure this happens, I do not believe that it is always the case.
