Do looks matter?

How much do looks matter when choosing a mate?????? I think that they are everything at the beginning because 9 times out of 10, you dont notice a person unless there is something about them that catches your eye. I dont mean that everyone has to be supermodel material, afterall everyone is attracted to different things, but something has to catch your eye about a person in order to spark that intrest, then you can start finding out if you can be with the person or not. Though just because a person is very hot, doesnt mean they are worth dating, sometimes they become ugly once thier true personalities shine through!, what do you fellow mylotters think??

Depends on the type of relationship that's being sought. Looks do help in that if both like what they see. I have heard of relationships starting in which there was no physical attraction in the beginning, but after getting to know each other, they ended up together. Ironically, those are the relationships that ended up lasting.

I must admit personal apperance matters but it doesn't mean he/she must be too good looking to be notice. Partly true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Its in the person who sees it. There are people who see beyond beauty.. beyond physical appearance.
But I more attracted with the person's personality. How he carry himself. That what you call the x factor
