I have made quite a number of friends at mylot. But whenever I go to "discussions my friends started", I hardly see any new posts added by them. Also, I have 16 referrals under me and when I check their profile, I see that most of them are having "0" points and they have never posted a single response. We see the figures at the bottom of the page showing myLot population. I was just wondering how many of that number are active and uses myLot frequently. I invite active people to my friend's list so that we can respond to our discussions regularly.

You are right, many people simply don't post. Or they join, and intend to come back but never do. The saddest occasions are those who join, eagerly post discussions and then fall flat because no one responds to them (because everyone is responding to their existing friends). These people tend to give up pretty quickly. I think sometimes we should all go to the "discussions with no responses" section and do our duty and respond to at least one.

Very true. In fact, I often visit to no response section. But now I also started visiting new user section to gave them the feeling that their discussions also matter.

Some people have a time limitation and others don't see the interest side of communicating with different people all over the world. I had referals in another forum but they also didn't do much... so now I just give them the address and if they want they can join and enjoy! I also rate all the discussions I go into and have, which also helps people with their ratings.

That's a great idea of rating the responses. It encourages the people to respond even more.
