yeap....there is a change in attitude of the players who play the game now....n introduction of 20-20 cricket may further increase the draught for defensive player... but when at an era when scores over 350 are easily chased ..i dont think the defensive batsmen will hav tat mucha role to play in the team... but n trickier tracks...you know whos gonna score...

i think its very difficult to play defensive against a good opponent. if he continue to play his shots and starts dominating a game, thee's a very good chance that u can make a mistake under pressuere. so i always prefer to dominate the game as much as i can.

well basically the best defense is a counter attack and these pimple rubbers make it happen with less force

A player may change from the defensive style to the offensive style and vice-versa. It also depends on the level of your opponent. If your opponent is always at the offensive, you tend to defend yourself and vice-versa. The defensive players are mostly would like to be sure that they have much scores in the end of the game. A defensive player can anticipate the opponent's drive over the ball and the former blocks it, controlling the ball so as to bounce back withing the latter's table.
