I need to lose at least 30 pounds

I weighed myself two days ago and I wish I would have never stepped on the scale! I have been trying to lose weight and nothing is working! I have been taking green tea supplements and weight smart pills and eating sort of healthy. I've been walking, working out, and moving as much as possible to try to lose a few extra pounds and I'm gaining weight. What am I doing wrong? I am having too many problems right now but, I NEED to lose 30 pounds at least. I'm only 5'4" and I think for my height it says that you should weight like 135. If anyone could help me out that would be great!

One thing is that to be 5'4 you don't have the height that i have,I am 5'7 and have long limbs so i can carry more weight..My friend is like 5"2 and she lost 50lbs on weight watchers,she shared some advice on what to eat with me and i lost 30 lbs...I eat only wheat bread,and eat vegtables and 3 fruits a day..I only eat chicken and fish ans drink water.There are a lot of snacks that weight watchers have at he store and they are good and you can lose weight..I lost mine slow and she did too and it stays off....Chips ,candy red meat,and things like that you need to not eat...I can give you lots of hints from weight watchers if you like..I know you can do it,i did and I have zero tolerance heehee...

Thank you! Yes, I would like that if you could give me some weight watching tips. My biggest problem is going to be not eating red meat! I love STEAK! But, I do really need to lose this weight!

Getting the right amount of sleep is very important, my step-sister the doctor told me last year that not getting enough sleep will cause your body to retain fat - it knows your missing something and basically say "if your not going to give me what I need I'm going to keep whatever I can get." Stress works the same way and often stress will cause you to get less sleep so you have double trouble.

Well then losing weight is going to be really hard for me because I never get "enough" sleep! I can try to work on my stress level though. Thank you for your response!

The main thing is don't give up. You will succeed. I am overweight also and am having a hard time losing it. There is not a easy solution. Each person is different and each person will lose in their own way. As was said in one of your responses stress plays a large part in keeping you from losing weight. Then try to get more sleep. Which with two young children will be hard to do. I watch what I eat and don't eat large portions. I eat six small meals a day and don't eat after six in the evening. I also exercise. Just remember it was easy to put on. Trying to get weight off is no easy task. I will be thinking of you and praying for you. Glad you decided to join mylot. It is a good place to come to. Welcome and you will find many lovely people here.

Thanks for your response! I know it's going to be very hard to lose all this weight because of the stress and lack of sleep but, I need to try because I weigh WAY too much for my height I know that and right now I'm willing to do whatever I need to do to lose some weight!
