Do we have a motive in life?

the big question.is there any motive in our life? some expect big,some dream big,some do big. many try living their goals but due to some reason those dreams remain concealed deep inside.so that's my question are we actually living or pursuing or trying what they had thought of or do we simply live the 8 to 6 job life and in the end go away from this world leaving behind no remark.........................................
