who is the best captain of india ?

well i guess sourav ganguly is the best captain. i havent seen other captain so i really dono.. saurav used to lead the indian team quite well and we had many wins under his captainship..so acording to me saurav is the best and hope india team will do good in this worldcup and get the cup for india

if you are saying for earlier time then it was Kapil Dev and if you talk for present then it is Rahul Dravid. You can see his records as a captain and the how India performed during his captaincy.

For me it is Kapil Dev, simply because he was the only Indian captain to lead a team of no-hopers to win the World Cup. Kapil's exploits are just better than Saurav's whom I respect as a great captain himself. Saurav's greatness stems from the fact that he turned a team that tended to get low very fast into a lean and hungry machine. The fighting spirit that we see today was thanks to Saurav. Cheers! Ram
