What to do in a party and you don't know anyone except the one who's hosting it?

This is very ugly situation,at such time i start discussion on current topics,people are taking part in this kind if discussions,i just make friends and enjoy with them,afterall it is a party,a place to enjoy.

Sure, lots of times. Questions to ask - so how do you know...., what line of work do you do, married, kids, where did you go to college. Have you ever tried....(your favorite hobby here), how do you spend your free time. What kind of car do you drive, why did you choose that manfacturer or model. You can always make friends and meet new people no matter where you go.

I usually make sure I don't attend such event lol. :P But if I am really caught in such a situation, then I would just go all out and try to enjoy myself. Open my mouth.. make people laugh.. make some friends along the way. Not that hard if I put my mind to it. ;-)
