I just wanted to thank my friends for their responses to my previous discussion about my blood sugar test as well as all the wonderful advice and suggestions to help keep my blood sugar level down. I just talked to my doctor and she said that my glucose level was 92 and that is normal. She said that I was okay so I am very happy and relieved, though I know I still should be careful about the foods I eat and the amount of exercise I get and my stress levels. Thank you again everyone. :-)

I am so glad that your sugar was okay. I know it's a big worry as diabetes is a bad ,bad thing to have. I took my sugar last week and it was 105 which is normal. I use my dad's glucose meter to check it once a month.

Thank you for being happy for me as I did cut some things out from my diet as well as exercising more and trying to be less stressed. I still have aches and pains to deal with but knowing my blood sugar is okay helps. I am sorry to hear about your uncle as that was a really high count. We also have to be careful of a very low count as well.

That is great news. I bet you were very relieved, but yes, you should still be careful. I have a strong family history of diabetes so I should be following the same advice as you.

Congratulations, From experience I know how hard it is to maintain a
normal glucose level but it can be done. You have just proved it.
I am so happy for you. Keep up the healthy lifestyle and you can
live a full and happy life without having to take medication.
That is a goal all diabetics are seeking.
Best of health to you

Thank you for the congratulations and wishing me good health. I did not realize all the things that could make our blood sugar high and will be more careful. I took the advice of everyone here that posted to my previous topic about my testing and it worked so I am thankful to all of you. :-)

I guess we're in the same situation. Since I had my blood sugar checked my levels had gone to normal levels only. My doctor adviced to continue my medications and continue to watch I am eating. So far everything has gone quite normal in myself. I think your case is your in a pre-diabetic stage where the glucose is still manageable. So caution is the key to everything we in this disease should always look after. I guess everything will be okay for as long as we keep fit and watch our diet always. Eventually the big "D" would come but we could prolong his coming by dieting and exercise. By that we can delay and maybe if we can live til there is a real cure for this problem so much the better.

i can tell you this if your blood sugar level raises , never try to lower it suddenly with in jections. maintain a proper as well as regular diet. taking bitter vegetables, wheatstuffs will be good. have a good physical exercise.if possible do yogas. avoid tension.avoid taking oilyfoodstuffs. have a regular checkup. never go for an unprescribed medicine.
