This would be very exciting.. I look forward to insights from guys here. I just recently viewed a 5-part Zecharia Sitchin documentary in youtube.. Fascinating and intriguing!
So, what do you think? Any comments for the unenlightened like me ?

I'm sorry about that. Purpose of my post is to generate opinions. What others may have to say and what's their stand on any of these :
1. Creation
2. Evolution
3. Man is a product of an alien experiment (according to this 5-part Sitchin documentary : www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXSYW-QwM_w )
Any useful insight is very much welcome.
Thanks.

Ah, I see. I hadn't heard of him yet, but it seems like he's a more recent version of Von Daniken and his "Chariots of the Gods" from the 80's. I read it when I was very young, and at the time I thought it was a very neat idea, but later I came to learn that it was little more than wishful thinking and a lot of imagination based on subjective interpretations of fuzzy historical facts.
I watched the first part of that documentary, but there were few to none arguments in it, only dramatic conjectures to set the mood. I don't have quite the time to watch the other four parts, so I resorted to Wikipedia to see his main arguments and their counterpoints. Have you checked that yet?
All in all, I find it nearly impossible to believe his ideas based only on vague conjectures and suppositions. It might be a good theme for a science fiction novel, but not for a serious world view, in my opinion.

Thanks for at least looking into the youtube documentary and for patiently sharing your thoughts about the discussion. I appreciate it very much. I appreciate your insight and I respect your opinion.. (I have no arguments whatever side is chosen and replied to..). I'm just soliciting responses and hopefully learn from the posts that this discussion might accumulate. I'm glad you find time to share your views. Thank you.

I dont believe in the creation story. All seems a bit far fetched for me. Being a Geologist learning how the world has developed throughout history, from the big bang to the buildiung of Cities. Theres a reasonable explanation to how how the universe, the earth, the mountains, the river valleys, everything was created. Except for life. How did things suddenly develop a brain and start living? how does a gas eventually become a human? My lecturer suggested that at some point in the distant past the earth was struck by a meteor which housed life, but then where did that life form?
I wish i knew more about evolution and where life all started so i could give you an answer to what i believe. I am still trying to get my head around it all. It is very possible that we are all decended from aliens which evolved from tiny single celled organisms (not sure if that is what you mean by man from aliens) If you mean that humans came to the earth on a big spaceship at some point and decided to live here then i personally don't think thats true

Man was evolved from ape. (in short). But at one time we were unicellular organisms...i dont think aliens introduced those to our environment...i believe that gases or small particles were brought by a comet and through evolution..man is here
