In all honesty, when I was in high school and even now I have had a crush in one of my teachers. It’s common, I believe, in growing up. But what if it's the other way around? What if a teacher falls in love with a student? Is that child abuse in the making? Is this teacher a freak of nature?
Just to give you a situation, is it uncommon for a 35 year old woman to be physically attracted to a physically-perfect 19 year old man? What do you think if it happen to you? Or to your son?

The teacher may be attacted to her students but it's not right for her to abuse her authority by actually engaging in an affair with a student. She is an adult and has the responsibilty to refrain from this. She is required to conduct herself as a professional. Parents put a lot of trust in teachers and this trust must be maintained.
I feel that a person of 18 would already be mature enough to make his own decision. If he has already left school and is at least 18, then his teacher is no longer his teacher, and it is up to them as to whether they would like to pursue a relationship. I guess when cupid strikes..... true love knows no boundaries and is unconditional.
Older women and younger men relationships are rare though. I guess it's because most societies seems to frown upon such pairings. But there are cultures that have nothing against these pairings so in these cases, such pairings may be more common.

In our world today nothing is impossible. This could happen. Well if it happen to my son, or my brother. Fine. For as long as they are feeling the real love!

In LOVE age doesn't matter. If its true love that they are feeling for each other then why not? Go on. There is nothing wrong with this though its rare!
