how many of u love carnatic music

I like Indian Classical Music very much . I dont have words to express my love for it . I am rather surprised too see this discussion . perhaps this is the 2nd or 3rd discussion that I have seen about Indian Classical Music on this site in the past five months . Enchanting melodies and pure divine invocation are greatest attributes of carnatic music. Turn off all the lights, keep the volume down and lie down on a soft bed .. this can take you to bliss.

I totally agree with you. Carnatic music provides the listener complete peace with himself and the world. Listening the Keertanams, raaga alapana and niravel by leant musicians is the ultimate enjoyment one can get. Especially when I hear my favourite raags like, Saveri, Anandabhairavi, Thodi, Shankarabharanam I feel drained of all my wordly worries and feel nearer to the supreme one.

Yes, I am very much interested in carnatic music particulary the alabanas of sudha raghunathan and nithyashri mahadevan. Both are the present time legends of carnatic music. I also very much interested in pancharathna kirthanas held at thiruvairu the particular songs like sadhinchane and manasa sancharare. Recently, I had one of the kutchery of sudha ragunathan in our home town at coimbatore, I was very much fond of it. I also use to hear the kutcheris of aruna sairam, sowmya, gayathri girish, sanjay subramaniam etc. Amongst them, sudha is topmost as per my opinion.
