Since I believe the Bible when it says that God created the Heavens and the earth, I have to also believe what it says will happen to us when we die.
There are only two places we can end up for eternity. Heaven, where those who believe in God and follow His teachings will live forever, or hell, where those who reject the teachings of the Bible will be separated from God forever.
We choose which place we will spend eternity. Turning our backs on the things of God, automatically sends us to hell. Which place will you choose?

We think we know a lot of things that we really don't know for sure, if you put it that way. We don't know if a light will turn on when we flip the switch, but we are pretty sure it will. We don't know if our dad will bring us home some ice cream that he promised to bring, but we are pretty sure he will. We don't know if we will still be alive 5 minutes from now, but most of us are pretty sure we will be. We don't know if our purses will be where we left them, but we expect that they will be.
If we believe in God, then we should be able to trust Him when he promises that those who believe in Him and follow His teachings will end up in Heaven when we die. I may not know it in the sense that I know my shoe is on my foot, but I don't doubt Him for a minute. After all, if He created the world and the whole universe, I guess He can make a promise to the people He created and keep it.

One thing I can be sure is that the departed goes to others' hearts, his families',his friends, his beloveds.
