i know in london, tea is sacred, they give tea parties, they spend lots of money for a cup of tea in a restaurant...i only drink tea when i catch a cold, when i have fever, when it's winter,to get warm..but in my country at least tea is not so popular as a drink..if i invite someone over,i offer him a cup of cofee..so why is tea so important for them?

actually britishers have been to best tea-producing places for centuries viz. india, srilanka etc. from there they must have developed a taste for tea.
