I am a survivor. I was diagoned with cholengiocarcinoma 4 years ago, the tumor between the cbd and the head of pancreas. TNM 4,0,0. Underwent Whipples, lost my gall bladder and a part of the pancreas. Am normal now, except that I have started putting on weight, get hungry often, my triglycerides are high now 199 as against the normal of 150. Other lipid profile, PP and fasting sugar are okay within normal range. I'll try and stay from the spicy and oily foods from now on, maybe that will help in bringing down the triglycerides, also started brisk walks. End up working 12-14 hours a day sometimes, have trekked in the Himalayas, once 30 kilometers in a day with no adveres effects, have driven my car non-stop for 15 hours long distance, no adverse efects except tiredness at the end, all post surgery. Libido increased a lot post surgery, active sexually.
Mentally quite strong alert now, and even post surgery when I suffered a cardiac arrest and was revived a few minutes later. Am a Mensa probable I am told. What am I to do about the triglycerides, hunger and the weight? Am a vegetarian, not even eggs, and a teetotaller even before diagnoisis.
