Is mobile phone is necessary for school or college student?

YER ... Mobile phones are necesary for school students above the age of 15 ... high school students. SO that its easier for them to communicate with each other. Mobile phones would help in case of emergency situations for the both of them (parents and student) PEACE:)

It is necessary for those over fifteen. At least they have the excuse of needing it in case they get an offer from a company so they can work part time. As for kids younger than that, there is the school office isn't there and doesn't it have a secretary or someone in charge? And why would they be communicating with their parents? Aren't they there to do schoolwork and not to complain because Johnny hit me?

I think in this world crazy day it's necessary to every one have mobile phone.

todays generation is that,that without mobile no one can survive but being so important mobile should not be allowed in the school because it distract our minds which is not gud 4 our studies schools r also providing phones to cal if necessary so cell phones r not needed in school

As a school goer i think parent should not give a mobile to their children.They are very younger to use this as they will loose concentration and school is a place where you lay basic foundation of learning to enter the desired higher study and come up in life.Well..college students can use mobile but many colleges have banned the use of cellphones inside the campus.

i don't think so...yes someone can use it for good efficiency...but for most of them its a waste...
