Hey, any Chopin fans out there?!I personally feel Chopin was one of the greatest pianist, the world over.As a pianist,i would say, Chopin understood the idiom of the piano probably better than any other composer for the instrument. Some of his pieces, like the Fantasie Impromptu, are the most toughest to be played on a piano. Most of his compositions were for the greater part of piano solo and their melodic treatment, richness of sentiment, originality and pianistic effects are outstanding and unsurpassed. In short, he was an incomparable master of style and his melodic invention was inexhaustible. Infact, i have been trying to play his impromptu for the past two years and am still not able to pick up the speed.I'm finding it difficult to coordinate the quaver notes on the left and the semi-quaver notes on the right.Any thoughts?

Agreed to joeeffect that chopin is one of the greatest composer and pianist. He created a revolution. But fantasie impromptu is not a very difficult peice compared to his ballades, scherzos, etudes and nocturnes.
