Is is just me, or do doctors now a days induce labor more often. With both of my child my doctors let me decide when I was going to have my baby, they gave me a time frame and I picked a date. I think thats sooo weird! I was induced 3 weeks early with both of my children. The 1st child I didn't get to pick because it was an emergency inducement. How many other mothers out there have gotten to pick when their children were bron?

They didnt do that to my first born, but they might on this one.
I was a week over my due date when i went into labor, they said they would induce it the following week if nothing happened.
I think its weird but great at the same time, cause then you can plan on when to have the baby and take off of work or have the father take off of work.
I am sure there are down sides as well, but right now i cant think of any.

being induced makes it easier, you have a longer time to plan and buy things so you have everything you need when the baby arrives.
