has your dog ever saved your life??

we have a big puppy dog named sawyer. sawyer is a 100 pound chocolate lab and is gorgeous. i am not being conceited, we get compliments on him all time and have given much business to our breeder.
my husband is in the military and he is on deployment currently. i love having sawyer around b/c not only is he like having another adult in the house, but he is on guard at every noise. sometimes it's bothersome, but usually it makes me feel good.
most likely he will try to play with someone if they ever tried to enter our house, but who knows??
that's what i was wondering and then i thought....i'd love to hear stories of courageous pooches!
so, please tell me all about your dog and how they have kept you safe and out of harm.

Nope, but a dog I used to have nearly killed me. She was a bird dog and decided to go after birds at the bottom of a baseball stadium's chainlink fence. Her leash was wrapped around my wrist so when she took off I got pulled behind her down a flight of cement steps. Then she stood protectively over me growling at the men's softball team tha came to see if I was ok. God love tha dog, but she was stupid!

That only happen in movies... our dog almost killed my mom... my mom bit him for being bad for he broke my moms' favorite vase.. i think our dog got mad and bit my mom's neck, good thing i was there and helped my mom, i kicked our dog to help my mom...
