It all depends on what you compare it with. Most bluetooth operates between 700 Kbs and 1 Mbs, which is faster than the parallel port but slower than USB2. It would not fare very well as a wireless broadband system, although for transferring files from the computer to a mobile phone it can be very effective.

I guess, so,,thats why it is created for faster and easy transfer of files, without a cost.
