I used to take off al my clothes and run around in woods sometimes in the rain. Sometimes even in lightning storms.

I remember growing up in Kentucky and playing in the rain on hot summer days. But, when I moved to Florida, playing in the rain became a thing of the past. With lightning strikes so numerous in the South Florida area, it just isn't safe. As anyone in Florida knows, the afternoons are famous for a good blowing thunderstorm with a lot of lightning and thunder. Now that I live in the Chicago area, I'm anxious to try taking walks in the rain. It's a great way to enjoy a wet, rainy day.

Yes, I let them play in the rain when they were young, around 4 to 6 yrs old. They love it, they just have their underwears on, running from here to there. Splashing some water with other kids. I had fun seing them play in the rain. After playing in the rain, I will let them take a shower or bath.

Yes I definitely would. I grew up having been able to play in the rain with my siblings. I had such a wonderful time back then that I wouldn't want my son to miss it. But of course I'll make sure that it is safe right hehehe.

Sure! I remember loving to do that when I was young and therefore I always let my children do the same. Being wet on a warm summer day from rain is no different than being wet from a swimming pool! Besides, how else were my boys supposed to learn to dance/sing in the rain like Gene Kelly?!

YES! Shoot, I go out and play with them! One day this last summer, we were going into walmart and it was raining so me and my kids started splashing in the puddles on the way into the store. It was so fun and my jeans were soaked up to the knees. you should have seen how people looked at me! I didn't care! I was having fun with my kids and I will definately keep having this kind of fun with them. :)

Of course you should let your kids play in the rain!! Especially when it's the warm rain that you're talking about -- where it's just finished raining and it's really sunny. (It's especially nice if you see a rainbow!) I guess I would just make sure to dry off the kids completely when they come inside and not let them dry outside, just to make sure they don't catch a cold or something. But I wouldn't really know -- I'm not a parent just yet!

Why not. In the middle of the summer when it is really hot a summer dance in the rain is loads of fun. My mom used to let me do it so I want my kids to experience it too. It is like a shower outside.

There is nothing like playing in the rain. It's as much fun as mud pies. These are only 2 of the things that every child should be allowed to experience. But I would be careful of the lighting and watch to see how close it is. I used to play in the rain when I was a little girl with my sister. Those were the days. I miss them.
