Do we actually have to risk our peace here at myLot, because some of the members, who choose to do as they pleese?
One of the members posted, that he has reported some abuses lately, asking whether would you do it aswell. But I wonder do we have any protection against the reported users, so they don't make a revenge, so they don't get back at us. Did it happen to you? What would you do?

I take it that this is in reference to my current discussion ... by the way i am a she not a he!! I never said in my discussion who i reported just why i did - if i end up getting revenge from another user it's only because they must be feeling guilty!
I haven't left any comments on any of the discussions i've reported and also how do they know that i'm the only one that's said something??
The only abuse from this will come from people other than the person in question. Mylot deletes all the discussions that violate their terms of posting and then watches them carefully.
Mylot recently changed the terms regarding star ratings so that one user can't single handledly make your rating plummet. If I end up having a barrage of "revenge" comments then i'll be reporting those too to mylot. I believe at some stage they are looking at blocking ISP addresses of serial pests.

At last, a concrete answer. And BTW, I didn't mention you on purpose. Yes your post has inspired me for the subject, but it was not ment to point at you. So I apologise if I offended you, but rest asure it was not my intention to do so. I just wanted to find out about the ways on how to deal with the idiots I may ran into. And to tell you the truth, I find you very courageous, because of what you did. I have been on a verge of exploding when I ran into some discussions or reponses, but I rather did nothing about it. And you know what I mean when somebody, here, pisses you off... How could they have been, or/and, are so stupid? But I let it pass me...

There are definitely those who take revenge on a regular basis. I started with a start rating of 90 and hae been stuck in the 70's for a very long time now. About the only thing we can do is keep our heads up and continue to post as wee see fit. Using the ratings as an tool for intimidation is the game that many play, instead of rating based on well thought out content, whether they agree with it or not.

I think that you'll probablyrisk a revenge when you repost an abuse, specially if you just wanna do that without valed reasons. And even if you have a valid reason, some people can't really accept that. I don't know about this topic so much because I haven't reported anyone, and I don't plan to. Every individual is entitled to his/her own opinion.
