Well today I've once again weeded out a few friends. For a various amount of reasons. One, being inactive in their discussions, inactive in mine, or inactive period. I had to do this as I have a hard time going to friends sites to respond etc. Thanks all & to those gone I will find your posts I'm sure. Thanks all for the time we shared & I'll be here reading searching & responding. LOL HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

well, i have thought about it, too since i have over 300 on my friends' list. but i did not even delete anyone on my list yet. been thinking and hoping that one day they will log in to mylot again and say hi or just pop up again from somewhere. with the hopes i have, i always have two thoughts on deleting some of them... which makes me decide later on not to delete anyone. haha! so, my friends' list keeps on growing and it's difficult to cope up!

Thats something I am going to have to do real soon. There really is no point to the friends list, unless our frieds are occassionally going to respond some of the time to any discussion we start.

I do delete my friends who are inactive for a long time. And also some are there who are active in Mylot but inactive in my discussions, I delete them also after a point of time. Because we don't need friends only to increase the number of friends in our friend list. Also I don't accept people with 0 post as a friends. I wonder why day want someone as a friends even before posting anything.

I had to do this not too long ago too. Acualy what got me doing it was that I had some of them taking my posts and discussions and stealing them by coppying them! I was livid. So I just deleted the few who were doing that. Oh well, I guess it goes with the territory. LOL :)

Hello grandpa, I just deleted 4 pending friends a while ago. They were there for 5 days already but I didn't approve right away. I like to see their true intentions first. No movements or activities can be seen so I deleted them without guilt. I detested people who wish to be added on my list just to promote their inks or sites. Just look at my list of friends, mine didn't reach 70 yet and I'm cool with it. I rather maintained a small group of friends than to have 300 plus of friends. I'm like this, grandpa...when you are one of my friend, you will be assured that I'm always there to help and support you. I expect the same kind of treatment from them too. Happy posting. :)

I can't see that many friends here if I'm to be serious about wanting to be their mylot friend. Other than that it would be a cash earning mark in my eyes. Thanks for the response and keep pounding away the keyboard. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

I deleted over half of my friends a few days ago. Now I have the notify turned on for the remaining ones. That way it will be easier to respond to there discussions. I just wish that when I first joined I would've been a little more picky & not just accepted anyone who sent me a freinds request. Oh well, lessons learned I recone.

you surprised me, but you roused me at the same time. Fact is, that there're hardly two or three people in my friends' list with whom I actually communicate, but that's partly my own fault too as I sometimes remain inactive for consecutive days. However, only PARTLY, because some of my friends I messaged to once didnt even bother to give a single reply.Thank you for reminding me about the friends' list. Now I'll work at clearing away those who're inactive nad unresponsive.

Well I've been doing it also, because I want to limit some of my friends in just a small number. I also delete those who's number of postings are not moving, and those who start discussions that are not of my interests. But I always add someone, and make sure that we always have something in common!;)

I think a little "gardening" in one's friends list can be a good thing. Sometimes I find myself wondering where people WENT... they already had 1000+ posts when they became friends, and then they suddenly just STOPPED. I guess that's just a sign that "life happens." The ones I tend to weed out are the ones who have only started a couple of discussions, yet have 200 "friends." Maybe I'm a cynic, but it strikes me they just signed up so they could promote their money-making programs on other sites. Sorry, NOT interested!
