I want to allow others to share (US and worldwide) with each other briefly where you were and how you were personally affected or knew someone who was affected? Or if you have something else along those lines to add.
This is the time for us to share our memories and thoughts. Perhaps you sent cards to those who had a family member die that day or from the events.
Please do not discuss government/political/military issues/opinions.

I was asleep at home when it happened. I was recently laid off, my wife called me and told me to turn on the TV, I asked her what channel and why, she said any channel, and that a plane had just hit the WTC and that no one knew why yet. When I turned on the TV to CNN I saw the second plane hit. I was glued to the TV for a week, I watched probably an average of 13 hours a day. I couldn't believe it.

A good discussion.
I was at the doctor's office with my daughter, she was home sick from school. All the doctors & nurses were talking about it. I really couldn't believe it was anything but an accident, till I heard that more than one plane had hit us. When we left the doctor's office, I hurried home. I walked in the door, woke my son & hubby (yelling that we were being attacked), and went in & sat in front of the TV for days.
It was so quiet, with no planes of any kind in the sky. I have to admit that the first time I saw a plane in the sky again, it really bothered me.
I have to admit that I don't feel as safe in my own country as I once did, but I refuse to let it make me change the way I live.
