Hip-Hop...betraying a dream since 1985

I used to listen to rap a little back in the day. As a white kid in the '80's we picked up a little of it and unlike most of my friends I liked a good bit of it. But these days it seems hip-hop has become just another minstrel show to entertain the white kids with enough money to buy the albums. They have nothing left to say other than kill, rape, deal drugs, and put on airs. Is their anything in rap music that still resembles the prigonal message? Would the man they claim to worship, MLK, be spinning in his grave to see whats become of his people? Force
