Were Any of You Born With Your Eyes Open?

I was. Evidently, it was fairly unusual when I was born for a baby to come out with their eyes open. In fact, the doctor who delivered me called me Bright Eyes. I always thought it was sort of a neat way to start out life with my eyes open ready to see everything I could.
I was born six days before Christmas and my mother said that when they took me home from the hospital, the first thing I laid my eyes on was the Christmas tree and all of the lights and I was completely enamored. Well, I still am. I love a Christmas tree. Sometimes, I feel like the boy in Home Alone who loves Christmas trees.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year and part of me waits all year long for it. I even endure the heat of summer thinking about fall coming next and then the holidays.
Anyway, how many of you were born with your eyes open or know someone who was?

I have never even heard of this. What a special heartwarming story for you to know about yourself. I think it is great that your mom made sure you knew about that fact and made you feel special. I think all three of my babies were born screaming their heads off with their eyes closed. lol

I love your avatar! It's so cute! I'm definitely interested in knowing if anyone else has been born this way. I guess it's still somewhat unusual.
I write children's stories just for your info. How old are your kids?

I was born silent And with open eyes. Im not sure if youll still get this 4 years later.
