i met a guy last night who showed interest on me. he was nice but i was taller than him. i mean, im not being mean but we do have standards, right?
tonight, i think he might be meeting me again in my doorsteps as we are neighbors. so what i did this morning was wear killer heels to emphasize our "difference". just thinking he might get the clue.
do you think i'm mean? or would you date a guy shorter than you?

I did more than date someone shorter than me...I married one shorter than me. I didn't discriminate against his height, he was a wonderful man despite it. Its only what you are attracted to in the end...the marriage failed eventually but it wasn't because of how tall or short he was. And wouldn't you believe it, now I am married to a man that is over 6 foot ...lol..
If you are not attracted to him, just tell him so, he maybe into tall girls, but you are not into short guys...good luck.

i really have nothing against short guys. i dont discriminate against height, either. it's just that at this point in time (im open to the idea that i might change my mind in the future. love knows no boundaries, right? haha) , i think i would want to date tall guys, or at least those who are taller than me.
im sorry for that unsuccessful marriage, though. and happy for your new-found love.

I think most women prefer men either the same height or a little taller...you just follow what feels right for you. Good luck

women have this fettish for taller guys because we want to feel "protected". i am guilty of this, to be honest with you. i've never dated a guy shorter than me, and i always see first if he's taller than me. why? first, i love wearing pumps and stilletos. and if the guy's shorter than me, he would look like my younger brother if we walk side-by-side right? second, i always feel that i'm a little fat, and when a guy's shorter than me, i feel a lot bigger. so embarrassing. lol.
but i have a lot of friends, especially my model friends who's boyfriends are shorter than them. when you look at them, they look so happy and contented. because love has no boundaries. you will see beyond the tallness and find that he's the most beautiful creature you've ever met.
i think just give him a chance. who knows, maybe he's the guy that you are looking for right *wink*

I think that isf you meet a nice guy that will treat you right and you can tell that he is kind and considerate and he happens to like you also . Well it sound like you are lucky to meet a guy like that.
Your standards shouldn't have anything to do with his height,or other physical looks.You should be concerned with what's on the inside of this man.
I've know and dated alot of georgous men in my day but found I couldn't get past their ego to really get to know them.
Give him a chance...he must have good taste if he is interested in you,right?Give him credit for that.

i agree that falling in love with someone shouldn't revolve around someone's height, or having standards at all. in fact, if i fall in love with a short guy in the future, that wouldn't be an aching problem for me because i would accept him as he is - short, just enough or tall. it's just that --- if u can choose,why not settle for the best? but again, i know that falling in love with someone is not a "gather and choose" business. and that's the problem. haha.

mamu, ur not mean just want the best. If i was single too, i wouldnt picked someone shorter than me. Too many fishes in the sea, just have to wait to catch the best fish.

I am very petite....im only 5'1" so it would be hard to find a guy who was actually shorter than me but i do like guys who are taller....i may be old-fashioned but i think guys usually go for girls who are shorter than them too because they appear more feminine and the man feels more masculine
