Woow WIndows Vista.. what a hot subject i can say. I have talked a lot in my area with many of my friends and all of them had only positive thoughts about it. I can say that i was blow off by this new windows system. Some things certainly lack to it but this new look which Microsoft has incorporated in it certainly do the money you would give for it. I have waited this new system for 2 weeks and here i am using it. It was pretty hard for me to buy it because in my area it can't be found. So i had to ask a friend from another part of my country to order me. I am so happy using it and all i have are only words of gratitdue. I post here a short description about VISTA.
Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework out of the box. The .Net Framework makes it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.

before the windows cds were not included when you buy a system from dell, though you can request it and it will be immediately sent to you. but as of now, as far as im concerned they are sending out all the discs. but they're vista cd will only install on a dell computer remember that. and like others say, vista has way a lot of problems with software compatibility so you might want to wait for microsoft to fix that up first. i believe service pack 1 for vista is out this june or july

What I can tell you is this, usually when you buy a new computer you will get the cd's with the computer. Not all companies do this however, so make sure you request them. Just simply call them back and ask them if they do this, if not tell them that you want them to supply you with the cd's just in case of problems. If they make you pay something then it is probably worth it.

Windows Vista can be installed in every PC or Laptop (except Apple's computer) as long as they meet the minimum requirement. You can see the minimum requirement in the back of the Windows Vista box, or if you have not buy it you can check from the internet.

Do your homework, Apple can run Windows, as well as OS X.

There is nothing special about Windows Vista except new features, add-ons and some new games Windows added on there. I still stick with Windows XP Professional. But if you insist on getting a Dell Laptop then get Vista Premium. If you need more information -- Check out their website.

I would wait to get Vista if I were you, its a new program and right now there are way more problems with the program than there are benefits. I went to best buy the other day and i kid you not 4 people were in line waiting for geek squad all due to Vista. So if you do get, just know that youve been warned.
