I will be giving birth in a month and i will be raising the child alone, because of this, i will have to have a job as soon as i can. I just want to know when is the best time/ appropriate time or how many months should your baby be before you can leave your baby to the care of someone else while you need to work? Any views? specially the working moms/ parents. Thanks

I'm still not keen on leaving my daughter with anyone & she's 9 months already. I'd probably go with the 3-4 month area - then you will have bub in a pretty good routine & you'll be getting more sleep so you'll manage work!

I think it's good if we leave the baby after three months. Your body recover enough and you have enough time to hold the routine for your baby.

I had to go back to work at 6 weeks. It was so very hard to leave him, even though he had a great sitter. Thinking back on it all now (he's 15 months old) I'm actually happier now that I'm home with him at this age. I lost my job on his birthday, and have been with him for 3 months now. When he was so little, it would have been nice to be home, but more for myself, with the little sleep and all that. Now, I'm getting to see him learn and grow every day. He didn't really do much when he was that little. It's hard leaving the little ones anytime, but do what you have to do and try to enjoy the time that you do get together. Congrats on the upcoming baby!!!

I personally don't think there is such a thing as the right time all mothers and babies are different! My eldest would always have went anywhere with anyone and my youngest would not leave my side from when she was a baby and although at 5 she is much better now she still doesn't like being away from me! The best bit of advice I could give you is that even newborns can pick up on their mothers anxiety so be sure to find someone who you trust wholeheartedly to look after your baby, you will feel easier which in turn will keep your baby more relaxed about things! I wish you luck Catcai!
