Any tips on how I can let my spouse sleep during the day without the kids waking him up? I have tried everything I can think of, no help yet. I cant just close the door because its getting cold, and it wont let the heat in. Plus they just open it anyway. Would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

First pray and ask God to bring a peace over your house. Then ask Him to direct you on what to do with your children. Try games, painting, play doh, teaching them, etc. Then have a nap time for them depending on the age. Explain to them they have to leave daddy alone. God Bless

Find something they are interested in, tv programmes toys etc, my partners eldest child is amazingly noisy but sit him infront of Thomas the Tank Engine and hes quiet for hours.

Thanks for the help. I have tried the fan, and sometimes tv helps to keep them occupied. I guess earplugs are next. Seems like its the same time every day too. I try to do something different with them at that time, I just havent found the right thing I guess. Will try these other suggestions

Let them read books. Colour. Homework. Or take them to your kitchen and start baking something with their help. I do that when my hubby sleeps. I know its one of the most difficult tasks to keep children quiet. How old are they by the way. During that time, cant they watch a children's movie or something. Make them play a computer game. Good luck.

Try to keep them occupied as much as possible. Is he at home sleeping when the girls are at school and it's just the little man? Or is it after school? I have had to try to keep mine quiet when my hubby has worked at night pushing snow. I just try to give them hands on stuff to do like painting or play doh. I read to them too. Play with them in their room. You won't get much done around the house, but who cares! If all else fails, take them somewhere. It's a good excuse to go shopping, even if you don't buy anything.

You can run a fan for some white noise to help keep him asleep. Or dowload or buy some white noise or soothing sounds to mask the kids noise. Ear plugs help too if all else fails. My husband has done that.
