the first house is the wedge of the sky that was on the horizon at the time of our birth.this house is known as the ascendent and the zodiac sign on the cusp of the first house is called the first rising sun.this ssign is also called as ascedent and refer to house of the ascedent.

So this explains our zodiac sign has a big influence over us. But as always, we make the decisions that we tread in this life and as always it will be: 'I am captain of my fate, the master of my soul' thing.
