How to maintain Indoor Plants?? / myLot

Hi, I like to keep lot of Indoor plants. I have some 10 plants inside my house. I always put filtered water to them and I take good care of them. They have even grown well but from many days I am seeing lot of insects(flies) around the pot. I keep the surrounding clean but still why they are coming I have no idea. What I should do to avoid them and how do I maintain them. Has anybody faced such problems?? any suggestions or ideas are appreciated.

I just make sure mine have the correct amount of light, I water them every couple of days and feed them plant food every few months and mine have been looking good lately....

I guess I am missing in feeding plant food. Can you tell me the name and where and which section that is available. I will try that and if any improvement I will let you know. Thanks for the suggestion.
