Marriage without mutual consents of the couple

Hey last week heard of a girl who was forced to marry a guy whom she hated 2 the core......is it fair??? such a girl will be most probably be lik a machine satisfying her husband,giving birth 2 children nd lead a stressful life.....wat do u think of it???

What can people be thinking. That is such a ridiculous idea.
If there is only one thing in life we can choose it should be the one we will be spending the rest of our days with.
She should run and keep running until nobody will ever find her.
That is crazy and mean!!

well, i'm asian and people my grandparents age have accepted arranged marriages and lived blissfully, so I wouldn't say it's entirely impossible. But having said that, circumstances might be different today, so I think it really depends on whether the couple wants to resolve the hatred they have for each other and make their marriage work out. I mean I personally wouldn't like the idea of marrying someone I don't love, but given their circumstances, this seems to be the best way out. Beats hating each other forever, right?
