Years ago when I was first married and my husband was returning back to work after our honeymoon he asked me to make his packed lunch - which his mother used to do for him before we married. He had only worked at this company a few weeks and didn't really know the people at work that well.
He asked me as part of his lunch to pack him a couple of eggs, which I did, but he never said to boil them first and I just assumed he would cook them at work. It was the first time I had packed his lunch.
So come lunch time much to the suprise of the guys he was sat with in the canteen he took out a raw egg and smashed it on the table in front of them. He was as suprised as them!
Luckily it acted as a bit of an ice - breaker as the guys at work thought it was hilarious. Even though we are seperated now it still makes me laugh when I think of it.
Have you ever done anything like that?

That sounds like soemthing I would do too. When I first got married I wanted to be the perfect wife and I pakced my new husbands lunch the first day back from our time off. I packed a sandwich, chips, drink, and an apple. He came home that afternoon and was being very kind to me and said thank you for the lunch it was very good. It had lots of different things that i never have when I pack my lunch. I thought i had done something wonderful, but he then told me tomorrow please put at least 6 sandwiches in the lunch, no apples because he does not eat that fruit and a whole bag of chips would help.
This guy was very small and skinny I would never have thought he could consume that much at one sitting. His buddies at work were teasing him that I had packed his dessert now he needed to go buy lunch. I was so embarrassed!

Well at least I'm not alone. Why do they always think we know what they want without them telling us first? How could you just guess that he ate that many sandwiches?

You're lucky. I was trying to be the good wife and do everything right, I couldn't believe it when he came home from work and told me what he had done, he just assumed I'd know to hard boil them, at least it gave them all a good laugh at work, I don't think they let him forget it either.

It was so long ago but still makes me laugh, if we were still together our wedding anniversary would be next week, 21st March so I think that must be why it came back into my mind.

Lol, that was funny. :P
I think all of us would have done some silly things at one time or another. I can't recall any off the cuff but I am sure I have done something of that sort too. ^^

I think because I was thinking it is nearly spring and we got married on the first day of spring I must have just been thinking about when I first was married, as soon as I thought of it I was laughing away to myself so I decided to share and see if anyone else had done anything like it.

Gosh that's hilarious. Glad he took it in good humor. Could have been worse, it could have been an Easter egg hunt!

I hadn't thought of that, I hate to think what would happen if he had tried to roll them down a hill or something!
