Hi there!
That's a tough question you have there. I'd say some people still value virginity as a virtue especially with women. Some people don't. Most countries in Asia still value a female 's virginity prior to marriage. I can't speak of most modernized western countries, I believe virginity is not an issue in those countries. Although virginity is still considered a virtue here in the Philippines, this issue is slowly fading as I observed. People, in general, tend to become more open-minded about the virginity issue. People do often make mistakes, we are entitled to those mistakes. Those mistakes we made enable us to become stronger and more mature.
Society tends to accept men womanizing and playing around. Yet, on the other hand, society seems to abhor women playing around.
What's more ironic is that men usually seek virgin a virgin wife or a virgin girlfriend but they themselves are not virgin anymore. Virginity issue ,it seemed to me, is putting "pressure" on women but not on men. That should not be the case.
For me, yes, virginity is an honour but should not be considered as an issue and a hindrance to a meaningful relationship.
That's my humble opinion. Nice topic you have there balaji_89.
Have a nice day!
