Is your freedom really in danger?

The more posts you read from U.S. posters the more I wonder about this thing called freedom. Seems more so than other citizens of the world, americans are the ones talking about their freedom being endangered. Do you think this is a real threat? Or is it maybe just fear mongering?

our freedom in the us is being taken away as far as i am concerned. every day something new comes up that interfiers with our rights as citizens. our govrment is in the process of switching to an militarian state. all of our rights are being swept under the carpet like they dont even exsit any more.

so the real question is: Is it your own government or the terrorists that are taking your freedom away? How much power do the terrorists really have in the US?

You have opened a can of worms my friend, and if history of mylot repeats itself you will get blasted, but hold your ground.! I do believe that it is fear mongering as you put it to feed the war machine. I have seen it posted again and again if you disagree with what is going on, that YOU MUST BE THANKFUL FOR THIS WAR, because it is keeping the terror at bay. I support our troops and every soldier that is fighting with his life. But I do believe as so many many other americans that the cause is no longer just. So how to scare up support? Spread fear among us. The fact is that our own goverment is slowly taking away our freedoms we are so proud of in the name of defense. Good post!

yes it's a can of worms but I think it needs to be opened again and again. Great response, thank you.

We have already lost our freedom and it has nothing to do with terrorism. It has to do with the wrong people having authority. Not everyone in the USA has freedom.

"Threats" to our freedom have been around since the founding days of our forefathers. We have many more freedoms than mpst of the rest of the countries in the world we thus have more to lose. We talk about it because we are so proud of it (having freedoms), but there is no real threat to our freedom.
