Does God bring us our spouse or do we chose by free will?

Actually, maybe god give us the wisdom to know and the instinct to feel that girl is right for us.I mean we have to choose by our own will whom to marry, the only thing we could ask god is his guidance and enlightenment.Well never know thats shes the best unless were going to stay for life.And theres no such thing as best or ideal girl, we just had to ask and god will provide.

Yes i believe GOD will willingly help us choose the best spouse for us. In order to find the best spouse we need to do lots of prayer and maybe even fasting and prayer. Then we need to make sure our spouse is a totally committed christian basically agreeing with in matters of faith and worship. You should be able to pray together. then look for compatability factors: do you both want a big family? Work out a family budget. Was your decision making process similar? etc. but first and formost Pray!! Can you pray together?

I think God has given me my husband now. Because I never thought he would be my husband when he's courting me. I didn't even like him at all at first. But maybe God has His way of changing what I feel for this guy. I didn't ask for a sign but I don't know everything just suddenly fitted into its places. God gave him to me without a warning.

Personally, I think God brings people into our lives that He knows will be good matches for us. Of course we have free will to choose who we love, but God knows ahead of time who we will choose. It gets confusing, but that's the way I see it. I don't think He can make us love anyone, but He can bring people into our lives that He knows will have an impact. I think when you find "the one," you just know it in your heart that he/she is the one for you. That's how it was with my husband and I. I just knew. I don't think there are any "signs" or "signals" that that person IS the right one for you...you just know.
