Toothbrush accident

A woman in Hong Kong nearly died after swallowing her toothbrush. Somehow she managed to call for help and was rescued. My question is how do you swallow a toothbrush in the first place!?

maybe it was one of those travel size brushes and she was brushing the back of her tongue (oh she would also have to have a big mouth) and she just swallowed? Maybe she was TRYING to swallow the brush, like the people who swallow swords? Either way that's weird.
