why several people here are not in favor of the last album of metallica? why angry with st.anger?SAD BUT TRUE, st. anger is not as outstanding as the black album, actually, is not even outstanding!!! why? is it because of their new bassist, is he the one who led metallica back to old heavy metal..WHEREVER I MAY ROAM, i hear people saying that its the bassist led them back,i wonder how jason newsted is reacting with the result of metallica's sound today?

I think Cliff Burton is still the best of Metallica bassist.

with regards to your opnion, well, when we say OPINION theres no right or wrong there. anyway, to each is own we say...so as for me i like jason of all the bassist joined metallica.

well i dont think that the new basist had a pole to play in the music in St.anger.it is a good album but not upto the expectation of metallica fans.the band try to experiment something new and it didnt turn out too well.they are starting to record their new album and have decided to bring back their old sound like the ones on "Master of Puppets".lets hope they will rise back to their true music and form.

yah it really didn't turn out well!its not actually they were exploring or experimenting for something new because that wasn't new to them anymore. lets just hope that their new album will meet our expectation.

I am in favor of St.Anger. It is a great album, whether u talking about music or lyrics. It is just Metallica tried to do something in a bit different way and that is cool, i had a previous discussion on St.Anger u can go back to it if you like.
If u saw their movie 'Some Kind of Monster' it shows you why they made their album that way. And why for instance they chose the title 'St.Anger' there was another suggestion to call it 'Frantic' the movie shows why they've chosen St.Anger. Also it shows why they didn't go for solo guitar in their songs etc....
It's got nothing 2 do with the new bassist. Each band must sometimes cope up with the changes without losing their identity and so did Metallica. The album hit Nr. 1 in many many countries. St.Anger Rocks.
