How do you feel about gas prices? Want to do something?

I've just been made aware of a new website http://boycottgas.ca The premise is to boycott one of the five major Canadian gas companies for 30 days straight and rotate that each month. On the website they have an indepth explanation of how and why. I encourage every Canadian mylotter to at least visit this website and make a decision on whether or not to participate. I know I will participate. Make the gas companies aware of your distaste at paying such ridiculous prices while they set record profits. It's my money and I'd like it to stay in my pocket not the pocket of gas company shareholders!

yea... gas prices are rising... but i doubt that boycotting will do anything.. because there are so many people who dont care and dont have the time... because they have to go to work by commuting and such.. people will still get gas prices no matter how high.. well maybe people will do something if prices gets to about 4-5 dollars. but right now, people have does not really have much power in this because gas companies make tons of money..

I agree that gas will still need to be purchased but if one company sees a major decrease in it's sales over the month then perhaps something will change. I guess I feel I can sit and complain or do something. We as consumers do have the power to voice our distaste over gas companies setting record profits by setting record prices. I'm tired of my money going into the hands of gas company shareholders. By the way we in Canada ARE paying over $4 a gallon right NOW! If you look at the website you'll see the current prices right across Canada. Perhaps that's why this maybe effective here and not in the US.

oh wow... 4 bucks! danggg.. but maybe canada has a higher inflation.. and the living costs are more? i dont know.. but yeah, it will be very difficult to see gas prices go down over the months because that would mean you will have to stick with what you are trying to do and not get gas for a long time... but there are ways of doing this.. like taking buses and such. im from southern california, and LA is trying to get their mass transportation going... but still, people would be driving. i guess maybe if mylot gets HUGE! then we can make a topic and try to get people to boycott this thing. haha
