My baby is 1 today! Yippee! We made it...

So, the doctors told us that my son would NEVER make it to one year well guess what? He's a year old today and is healthy despite all his conditions! He is growing stronger and bigger and is a very happy baby! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY LITTLE FIGHTER! I just had to share... Here's a pic of my cutie...

Happy Birthday little one. That is so wonderful to hear that your child is making it further than the doctors had told you. I know you have to be enjoying the precious time with your child. It is good to hear that your son seems to be doing well.

YES!!! I love to hear stories of babies who have beat the odds. I too am one of those babies. My parents were told that I probably would not live to see my second birthday. I showed them. I'm 35 years old now and have minimum heart problems! Happy Birthday to your son!!!

Cassiem0221, I'm so happy for you and your little one! Aren't they a blessing??? I know how happy you are for your little fighter. My daughter is 20 years old now but she is my "miracle baby". She was born with a severe congenital heart defect and required open heart surgery when she was four months old. She actually needed it at birth but she only weighed 5 pounds 1 ounce and they were afraid she wouldn't survive. They just saw her once a month until she had gained enough weight to withstand the procedure. That was the hardest thing I have ever done, to put my baby in that hospital bed not knowing for sure if she would survive the surgery. But the Lord protected her and she is fine today, as I said she is 20 years old, and to look at her you would never know anything had ever been wrong. God Bless You and Your Family! SheliaLee

Happy Birthday Baby!!!! Your story sounds kind of similar to mine. My sons birthday was yesterday (3/15) and he also had some medical conditions that scared us during his first year. Yay for both of our baby miracles! :)
