okay we can't edit our mispelled words or even edit discussion we already submitted I can deal with that and it can be consider as a not intentional mistake because we are sometimes in a bit hurry to respond on a certain discussion or we are a bit excited to share our post or our very own discussion and overlooked our mispelled words or our typo error. What I wish we have in myLot is a spelling check feature so that it will appear a red line or a green line that there is something wrong with that words and we can edit it right away before we submit it. Can you share your view about this feature and what are other features you like to have on myLot? Thanks in advance for sharing. your myLot friend, maribel

I actually use Mozilla Firefox as my web browser that has a spell check automatically built into it, so whenever I make a spelling error or typo, a red line appears under the word. The only problem with this is that some spellings for the US are different to Canadian and UK English and so even when a word is spelled correctly, it shows up as having being spelled wrong. It's a little bit annoying, but I tend to rely more on my spelling abilities to know when something is spelled right or wrong.

I've been wishing for some sort of spell check for a while now. Hopefully myLot will work on that soon. I'm horrible when it comes to spelling, and it would be nice to have something so people will take our discussion seriously.

I have some problems with my spelling as I type faster and sometimes I was stressed out and blanked a bit that's why I really suggest to have mylot spelling check that is built in on myLot features. thanks starr4all!!!

I totally agree with you. A spellcheck feature might not be a bad idea. Although, I consider myself a decent speller, there is that rare moment where you draw a blank and cannot remember how a word is spelled. Also, in your rush to put your thoughts down, you can skip words or misspell them. Furthermore, once it is posted your error becomes a permanent part of the mylot website. If there is someway, we can minimize that, that would be a cool feature.

One thing you can do is hit preview instead of submit. That gives you a chance to edit your work first but for people like me who have difficultly spelling certain words it doesn't help. But for typos it will. I forget about the preview feature most times. I think we will get a spell check feature eventually but in the meantime you could make use of the preview feature.

I don't know why my posting posted twice. I tried the preview feature. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I fully and strongly support you that we should definately have spell check system at mylot. You are righ t- in a hurry to post our response, we keep on committing typographical errors, words get mispelled unintentionally, unknowingly. My Email ID is on GMail. Gmail gives you on option to spell check, before sending the mail. Even Yahoo-Answers site gives you an option for spell check, before submitting your reply. So, like you I would strongly recommend and suggest people at mylot.com, they should immediately introduce a system for spell check. Thanks for starting very useful discussion.

Yes,it would be great if Mylot has a spell check feature.I use firefox and it has a spellcheck ,but I guess I haven't activated it.So,I never get to see any spelling errors I might make.Sometimes, typos are embarrassing because they can change the complexion of my message and I have to go back to clarify what I meant. I would like like Mylot to have an option of notifying us when someone comments to our responses. It is hard to go 20 pages back to check my response to a discussion when someone comments on it.Even that person might feel I am ignoring him/her which is not at all the case. The option of bold and italics would also be nice. And if I may add ,I 'd like some ( only a few ) smileys on Mylot perhaps with a limit to the number of times they could be used by a person in a thread ,to prevent the abuse of smileys.

I would love to see a spell checker on mylot sometimes you make typing mistakes that you do not know you have done till the end of your post. or you want to write a word but do not know how to spell it and have to use a word that is may be not quite right for what you want to say

Be less demanding and more providing. Help yourself little with WORDS etc I think there should be a feature of directly reaching at your "answers"
