I would have to say I would like one of my friends cause I'd go mental by myself (remember what happened in Castaway and Tom Hanks).A chest full of tinned\packaged food and a toolbox with nails ,hammer,saw, flares,you name it if its going to open or build or fix something I'd want it.

Well, aside from the kind of cheating answer of a working cell phone and a GPS system... :)
I'd say a lighter, a friend, and that chest full of tools. But that's kind of cheating too, isn't it? I don't think Tom would have fared half as well if all those FedEx boxes hadn't washed up on the shore.
