There is only one song that I can think of that has my name in it--The Beatles song "Across the Universe." In the part where they start singing in sanskrit, they say "Deva." Which makes sense, since my name is sanskrit. ;) I would guess that there are lots of Hindi songs with my name in them as well.

I have given you a + rating for a great post. This is really interseting. I have never heard of any song with my name in it. Margieanne isn't that common. I'm going to search now, as you have perked up my interest. Thanks and have a great day.

Well without searching I know of two off hand. "Beth" By Kiss and "Elizabeth" by The Statler Brothers. I'm sure there are others but those are two I do know of :) Looks like Jennifer is in a lot of songs by the looks of that list. Wow! Didn't know it was that popular.

Neither did I - I only knew the Eric Carmen one. But it makes sense since Jennifer was the most popular name for several years...

weird, I can't think of any songs that have my name in it. Carolyn is a pretty common name, too. Jennifer Juniper is a song by, i think, Donovan. It's a pretty song.

Concrete Blonde has a song called Caroline - not spelled the same - but I'm pretty sure it's pronounced the same.

I've found two songs that mention my name, Lucinda. There's one called Lucinda by the Knack--it's on the same album as My Sharona. The other is a song by Lonestar Don't Let's Talk about Lisa. I'm sure there are a couple others but I have yet to find them. I will check out that site and see.

Bah! The search doesn't work for me because it brings up any songs with the word "dreamy" in it since "dreamy" has my name in it.

Wow, you have a REALLY common one. I was not expecting to get any hits for name, but like an idiot I forgot about Buddy Holly and all of the Christmas songs ever written! Silly me!
