College Students: What makes you stressed?

Student Stress - College students get really stressed out from juggling so many activities on top of their schoolwork. How do you handle it all?

It seems like there are hundreds of things we have to worry about in college- grades, professors, jobs, tuition, student loans, eating right, getting enough sleep, keeping up with social life. We've definitely got our hands full! So how about you? What stresses you out the most, and how do you deal with it?

The profs at my college don't ask about poor attendance. It's your responsibility, and if you don't show up it's your loss. They're not especially forgiving.

When I was in college, I hated studying and exams. The deadlines for projects and assignment were no joke too. The thought of waking up the next day to just repeat the cycle made me stressed. :P

I find it really hard to make all the deadlines sometimes. It seems like they all pile up in the same week.

When I was going to college the main thing I was worried about at the time was getting the job that I liked. I dealt with it by just taking one day at a time. So, I do understand that all those issues you mentioned can be a real headache though. With all the stress that you are all going through I am so amazed that the college students that made it through with a 4.0 have the ability to focus on what's really important these days. Getting an education. Good luck in your future.

Thanks :-) I do think that college has gotten more stressful for recent generations. I don't really know why. Maybe students these days just do more, or maybe the academics are getting harder. Who knows.

Why aren't you studying what you want to? Who's stopping you? There's no point in spending all that time and money on something you don't want to do.

I can answer that lol. My job and student loan are at the top of the list. Unfortunately my parents don't have the money to pay my $22000 tuition so I have loans to go to school. I am so worried about all the money Ill have to pay back at the end of the four years I have. Also, it is really difficult balancing 6 classes work and a almost full time job. I think that's part of the reason why I can't concentrate on school is because I have to work to support myself. It's hard to deal with but I just keep telling myself that it will all be over soon. After the summer break I might come refreshed, I can only hope...

I'm definitely with you. I'm in school full time and working almost full time. Between that, I don't have time for anything I like. And I'm not even making enough to get by on. It's so frustrating.
