I have a question...Why does there seem to be so many sites available that pay members of the US for doing surveys, submitting writing ie: Gather.com,Associated Content....but not including people from other countries? Are there very many sites out there that pay for people who are not US citizen's?

I have wondered about that one too. I am a member of Gather, and were I an American citizen my points would value about $400!! Annoying, because I could really use the money. So far MyLot is the only site I've found that actually PAYS people around the world. Whatever MyLot is doing, I wish Gather would follow their example. I think it has to do with taxes or something...but then what did MyLot do to avoid that, and why can't Gather do the same thing?

Hi danishcanadian. I also find it very annoying and wonder how come places like mylot can pay people from anywhere, and yet Gather claims the can't. It just doesn't make sense, or seems to me more like they don't want to bother. They've been saying at Gather they are going to make changes for over a year now, and yet they haven't done anything.

I wonder, is it going to be mostly Canadians responding to this question? LOL! Perhaps we have to do a major search to find Canadian sites that pay.

Well it certainly seems that way pat. I've been trying to do searches on Canadian sites and there are some out there, but I just don't know much about any of them and so far just found some that either give you points or something like that.
