Like your parents.

I remember when i was young i didnt want to be ANYTHING like my mother. And now as im a parent i find myself becoming more and more like her, and i like that. She was a good mother, even if a rebellious teen didnt see it then, I appreciate it now.
So are you anything like your parents? How do you feel about it?

I suppose there are some things about me that are like my mother was, but I'm hoping I'm not too much like her. I grew up in a dysfunctinal household, and by some miracle I managed to break the cycle of abuse. My mother was a survivor, however, and I suppose I got my survivalism from her...she was a trooper, and so am I. She did the best she knew how, I suppose, and I did, too...I just didn't use fear and physical violence to keep my kids in line.

I like to think we can take the best from our parents and utalize it.

we are all like our parents especially in some ways related to home-works.i do appreciate everything that they have taught me and some things that i have learned from watching them. it made me a better person because of them.

I am absolutely nothing like my mother, or like my grandmother (who raised me for a while). I find myself more like my dad and my grandfather. I'm very easy going on most things, like my grandfather, but I'm strict on certain points like my father was and still is.

I'm a little more open-minded than my mother, but I think we are very similar.
