I use freecycle.org, but was wondering if there are any good ones that you may use?

I use freecycly as well. Right now, we are downsizing because the house has just become too big for me to handle. I wanted to give much of our stuff away but, since we live in the country, people feel it is too far to drive. I am horribly disappointed by that. We have had so many people reply and then just not bother to show up...it is really disheartening. As a result, they are missing out on some great stuff. For instance, I am giving one of my PCs away to a friend who now needs one. It is a Millenium Windows Edition and is in perfect working order. I just prefer my laptop. Anyone could have had it, but we are 20 minutes away from the closest city. To me, the drive would have been worth it. I am going to phone the Diabetes Assosiation to pick up the furniture because I am tired of posting and then reposting when people don't bother to show up. I feel badly about it but I want to get rid of my things now, not 6 months from now. I have given away a lot when we have actually driven the stuff to people but I don't think that should be our job, not when they have a vehicle. Sorry about complaining but I am just disappointed, as I said. I think the idea behind Freecycle is absolutely fantastic!

Too bad we're so far away from eachother, I'd take your freecycles! I just unloaded all my daughters outgrown clothes in less than 10 minutes, with 6 different posts. Around here, people travel to get something for nothing! As for donating, churches usually take stuff for thrift stores if they do that by you, and what your doing should work as well. Good luck! FranMc:) peace

I use freecycle too and it is wonderful. I just saw another like it from someone here on myLot and it is Gigoit. I am really new to it but it seems to be the same concept as freecycle.

I checked that site out and I find freecycle easier for me, thanks for the suggestion though.
