Olivia should leave

I have always loved Law and Order in general. My only complaint is Olivia Benson. She irritates me to no end! She can't have a relationship because of what happened to her mother, even though it never happened to her. I guess it comes from being a "victim" myself. I have had it happen twice, and now I am married with a kid. To me, the character is taking it too far.
Other than that she is kind of annoying at times. Does anyone else feel the same way?

I enjoy her character for the most part. I don't see that whole victim side of her but all of us see different things I'm sure. The only thing I have aproblem with is with her history, how she was concieved, it would be very doubtful they would put her in that department. There is too much back history and it could cause her to do things that would cause people to question her being biased or not. It would give defense attorneys an easy way to get reasonable doubt. Other then that I like her but personally I prefer Much and Finn on that show anyway.

I see your side of things, and I appreciate your honesty. Do you know where Munch's character originated from? He actually started on Homicide: Life on the Streets. He was one of my favorites then and still is now.

I loved him on Homicide life on the street. He made that show for me. The rest of the cast was OK but he was great. I was so glad to see him on SVU and how they kept the same character. That was great.

Oh goodness no, I totally love Olivia. She's great and I think is the best female cop on TV. She stands up for women's rights all the way. She's the greatest.
Now if they put her and Goden from CI together, that would be something.

i totally agree with you. olivia is the best cop on tv but i think she works well with elliot and goren would try to outshine her cos i think hes a big hog on ci. lol

I really like the character of Olivia Benson. I think she makes a good team with her parner on that show. Her past plays a huge factor in the show because of the kind of work she does. I would think someone in that position would have some extra insight when investigating those kinds of crimes.

Her as a police officer is great, but the whole "I can't date because of what happened to my mom" gets old. She has great insights, but her personal life gets in the way sometimes. I appreciate your opinion.

Stabler is one of my favs! He is the ultimate man...loves his family and his career. Who could ask for more? And if you pay attention, he has a tattoo on his left forearm for the military, AND he always stands at parade rest when he is in the room. (not that I pay attention)

I think a big part of her failed attempts at relationships is also based on the fact that she is ALWAYS working and cancels on dates and whatnot. But it does seem like in the show she only gets the time to have dates when she's with some creep. Maybe her choice in men is another side affect of her mommy issues?
